Looking for Italian properties? - Why you should consider Le Marche
The Italian describe Le Marche as "all of Italy in one region", as it combines landscape, history and culture. It possesses dramatic mountains and rich agricultural lands that carpet the rolling hills down to the Adriatic coast. The area's beauty is now becoming more widely known and tourism, appreciation of the region, its foods, wines and other products are on the increase.
Whilst most of Le Marche is an enchanting tapestry of undulating farmlands and medieval villages, this particular part also benefits from a dramatic scenery, due to its proximity to the Sibillini National Park and the
Sibillini Mountains and wildlife.
Behind the hills, three miles away, a free motorway (SS77) will take you to the Adriatic Sea in 40 minutes and to the International Airport of Ancona or Perugia in less than one hour. Assisi, Spoleto and Foligno too are about one hour away. If you leave home after breakfast you can have lunch in Rome or Florence, or have a coffee in Saint Mark Square in Venice in mid-afternoon. Many lovely medieval centres are within easy reach. The small town of Camporotondo di Fiastrone is literally minutes away. The university town of Macerata , administrative centre of the province, is 30 minutes away, with its shops, museums, theatres and Opera House. Nearby are also the university towns of Camerino (less than 20 miles) and Tolentino (15 km), with its stunning church of St Nicholas and its many shopping facilities, the fascinating little Sarnano, San Ginesio (both named amongst the most beautiful villages in Italy), Gualdo, Penna San Giovanni, Caldarola, and many more. A little further, along the Adriatic coast, a string of beaches can be reached in 40/60 minutes. Particularly attractive are two small centers close to the coastal Mount Conero:
Numana and Sirolo (lovely old towns with plenty of services and amenities, located on the tops of cliffs, with a number of amazing beaches down below).
Beautiful towns and landscapes of Le Marche.
